I needed a new keyboard because the old one kept losing keys where I needed them. My previous keyboard was a Logitech G413 Carbon.
I decided to stick with the same brand, as the old one served me well, but this time I was interested in trying different keystrokes beyond just mechanical ones.
I also wanted a wireless option, and this model had the best specs for me at the time.
It’s a thin, low-profile board. It’s fairly long due to the added keypad and macro keys.
Overall, it’s a good-looking keyboard that’s pleasing to the eye, and I like the feel of the curved metal edges on the sides.
Wireless: The connection is via a USB dongle that plugs into a USB-C port. This same port can also be connected directly to the board to charge the battery.
So, there are three connection options: Bluetooth, 2.4GHz wireless, and wired (via cable).
Volume scroll wheel
Macro keys: 5 on the left side and 4 on the top
Keypad on the right side
Very straightforward. The keyboard works as soon as you power it on and plug in the USB cable.
I downloaded and installed Logitech G Hub from their website, and from there, you can customize lighting, settings, etc.
Battery life is pretty good in my opinion—I’d say around a week with moderate usage.
The keystrokes feel very pleasant—probably the best I’ve experienced so far.
However, the macro keys are a bit annoying since I’m used to feeling the edge of the keyboard to position my hands.
The extra length throws me off, and I often hit a macro key thinking I'm in the right spot. That said, I think it’s something you can get used to over time.
I like this board. For someone like me who plays mostly solo games, it’s solid.
The macro keys can be annoying at times, but I can live with that.
For the premium price, it doesn’t quite feel premium yet—so I’d just say: know what you’re buying and do your research.
