The latest Battlefield 6 singleplayer campaign trailer premiered during Sony’s State of Play. EA confirmed the story-driven mode alongside the game’s official launch date: October 10, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
Battlefield 6 singleplayer campaign trailer unveiled
Set in the year 2027, Battlefield 6 places players in a world where several NATO nations have abandoned the alliance to align with a powerful private army called Pax Armata. The story mode follows Dagger 13, a special forces squad tasked with resisting Pax Armata’s global influence.
The singleplayer promises cinematic missions, large-scale combat encounters, and a narrative that ties directly into the game’s multiplayer universe.
Multiplayer goes back to Battlefield’s roots
Alongside the campaign, Battlefield 6 will reintroduce the classic Class system, a fan-favorite feature missing from recent entries. EA also emphasizes large-scale destruction, with dynamic maps designed to evolve mid-battle. Explosive set pieces and environmental destruction aim to bring the franchise back to its chaotic, large-scale warfare identity.
Hands-on impressions from the beta
Early impressions highlight Battlefield’s strengths in audio and visuals. In a recent preview, journalist Ron described his experience:
“The incredible sound design and stunning visuals amplify the chaos in a way I rarely experience in games. One Conquest map set in the snowy mountains of Tajikistan felt absolutely overwhelming. Fighter jets and helicopters constantly soared overhead, making me feel small while the battle itself felt massive. I almost became addicted to that feeling.”
Post-launch content plans
Rumors suggest that a dedicated battle royale mode will arrive shortly after release, with speculation pointing to October 28, 2025. While unconfirmed, such a mode could give Battlefield 6 more staying power in the competitive FPS landscape.
